Once in a 200 year Life Time Opportunity

A full Provincial Team headed by RW Bro David Macey, Provincial Grand Master, will be present, together with a senior representative of the United Grand Lodge of England.

All Warwickshire freemasons are invited to attend, in particular members of Athol sponsored Lodges, including:

  • 12 Daughter Lodges
  • 15 Grand Daughter Lodges
  • 17 Great Grand Daughter Lodges
  • 15 Great Great Grand Daughter Lodges
  • 6 Great Great Great Grand Daughter Lodges
  • 1 Great Great Great Great Grand Daughter Lodge

some sixty six in total, together with Lodges who are members of the Association of Atholl (sic) Lodges which is for Lodges under the jurisdiction of the "Ancients" before amalgamating with the "Moderns" to form the United Grand Lodge of England in 1813, and all other Masons from Provinces far and near.

The meeting will be followed by a 4 course Luncheon.

Severn Street Masonic Hall in the city centre has been the home of Athol Lodge since 1858, but is far too small to accommodate everyone for such a milestone. The Official Celebration has thus been moved to the Provincial Headquarters, where the magnificent facilities will accommodate such a momentous occasion on a convenient date. The exact birthday is 11th July, and the historic meeting place is not going to miss out on the celebrations, however, as an unofficial celebration "Birthday Party" is being held on Saturday 9th July 2011 for all members of Athol Lodge and their own personal guests.

Athol Lodge No 74 is the 5th oldest Lodge in Province of Warwickshire and the 2nd oldest by number. A brief history of its formation can be downloaded Athol_Brief_History.pdf
