Following the success nationally of the Universities Scheme which seeks to establish arrangements and opportunities for undergraduates and other University Members to join and enjoy Freemasonry a new Lodge will be consecrated on 3rd June 2017. This is an event of real importance being the first such consecration in the Province since 2009.
The Lodge is to be called the Collegiate Lodge, No 9943 and will form part of the Universities Scheme and be based in Dalecote Masonic Heritage Centre at Coventry with the aim of forging links with, students, alumni and workers of Warwick University, Coventry University and Coventry City colleges.
The consecration meeting can be attended by existing Master Masons and will take place at 11.30am on Saturday 3rd June, at:
The Slate Conference Centre,
University of Warwick,
Coventry, CV4 7SH.
The success of the Universities Scheme has been demonstrated in many Lodges with a total of 73 Lodges across the world being members. Here in Warwickshire, the University of Birmingham Lodge, No 5628 has flourished well in the past few years. The Collegiate Lodge aims to replicate that success and meet the Universities Scheme's objective; helping young people find Freemasonry.
This will be a very special event in the history of Freemasonry in Warwickshire and demand for places at this high quality venue and luncheon will be high. It is the hope of the Founders that many of the Warwickshire Lodges will be represented, especially by their Principal Officers, to witness the birth of this very special Lodge so do please support the Consecration.
The Founders look forward to sharing their special day with you!
