Following a splendid meal the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, VW Bro Michael C Morris summarised the development of Freemasonry since its formal establishment nearly 300 years ago, providing a fascinating insight and many salient facts about the fraternity and its objectives.
He also outlined the present day structure in Warwickshire, his views on the management of lodge procedures and gave recommendations for maintaining the high standards expected from all members.
The detail of much of his presentation is included in the booklet, which can be found in both the Education and Development section of the Provincial website and under the FAQs on the front page.
In conclusion, he emphasised the pleasure to be derived from Freemasonry as a result of active participation in all of its aspects, whether arising from Masonic formalities, social events or charitable giving, and expressed the great appreciation all Masons have for the support received from their wives, partners, families and friends.
The Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro David Macey concluded the evening by thanking everyone for attending, emphasising the importance placed upon the reception of new members, inviting them to circulate the new booklet and let the Provincial Office know of any suggestions for improvements.
