Our Salvation or Theirs?

Our Salvation or Theirs?

Aug 15 2012 3:13 AM
An outfit styling themselves Truth in Reality have published an amazing "Prayer of Release for Freemasons and their Descendants"claiming that a significant number of people reported having experienced physical and spiritual healings as diverse as long-term headaches and epilepsy as the result of this prayer!

The prayer implores God to forbid our Rulers to harass, intimidate or retaliate against their members and from sending any level of spiritual evil as retaliation (goodness, don't be late with your Annual Return). Also to rebuke, renounce and bind Witchcraft (the principal spirit behind Freemasonry, they claim), together with Baphomet, the Spirit of Antichrist and the spirits of Death and Deception, as well as our supposed love of position and power, the love of money, avarice and greed.

Oh, and don't forget to renouce and rebuke the Spirit of Fides, the Roman goddess of Fidelity that seeks to hold all Masonic and occultic participants and their descendants in bondage, nor the Spirit of Prostitution, which the Word of God (so they say) has led members of Masonic and other Occultic organisations astray, and caused them to become unfaithful to the One True and Holy God.

Perhaps Lodge Chaplains should take careful heed, just in case any of our members are worried about bumping into any such basket cases at the pearly gates? Better still, suggest we include them in our own prayers - they certainly need all the help and salvation they can get!

A special event to remember W Bro Anthony (Roundy) Rudell is being held Wednesday 20th June at The Clarendon Suites, Edgbaston. It is not a formal masonic meeting but is being arranged by St Paul's Lodge 43 (Roundy's mother Lodge) and will consist of a short meeting followed by a dinner. The Provincial Grand Master has sent a message for the meeting and the Deputy PGM is attending. All the lodges with connections to Roundy have also been invited.

Everyone who knew Roundy is very welcome to attend, full details and an application can be seen here.

It is now a year since Roundy died suddenly, whilst serving high office as our Provincial Senior Grand Warden, just prior to last year's Annual Meeting of Provincial Grand Lodge.

Rugby Masons on Parade

Rugby Masons on Parade

Jul 20 2012 2:14 PM

As the whole country celebrated the Queen’s diamond jubilee, freemasons from Rugby were cheered as they joined in the fun by taking part in the parade through the town’s crowd lined streets dressed in full Masonic regalia.

Some of the 28 Masons who participated. They included an Entered Apprentice, Master Masons,
3 Lodge Masters, Provincial Stewards and other Officers and a Grand Officer.

Around 30 different organizations, including local charities, military personnel, youth organizations and various associations processed to the Rugby Clock Tower (which dates from 1887 and was built to mark the golden jubilee of Queen Victoria) where The Lord Lieutenant unveiled a commemorative plaque in honour of the occasion. Rugby Borough Council had commissioned the plaque, which was crafted by local stonemason and freemason Paul Timms, who is a member of Three Spires Lodge 6940.

The parade then moved off again, finishing in Caldercott Park, where the celebrations continued. Throughout the day several charities made a point of approaching the lodge members to thank the Freemasons of Rugby for their very generous support over many years.

(l-r) Provincial Mentor Stuart Esworthy
and retired Deputy DC David Greenwood who got everyone at least to walk in the right direction!

Rugby is fortunate to have seven full-time and three part-time Craft Lodges, two Royal Arch Chapters, a Mark Master Masons Lodge and various other additional Masonic Orders. The members own and operate the Masonic Hall which is in Church Walk.
