Warwickshire Mason returns Founders Jewel to Lodge Niederrhein, Dusseldorf

W Bro Chris Morton of Holy Well Lodge, No. 9437 by chance met W Bro David Stevens of Swan of Avon Lodge, No 2133 and former Master of Lodge Niederrhein. Based in Düsseldorf, Germany Lodge Niederrhein, No 892, is a member of the Grand Lodge of British Freemasons in Germany.

Major DGW Morton, W Bro Chris' late father, was a past master and founder of Lodge Niederrhein and so Chris, along with his son ,William, who was raised only 2 weeks before at Universities Lodge Durham, No 2352 and with W Bro John Owen also of Holy Well returned to Lodge Niederrhein with a formal presentation of his late Father’s Founders Jewel where it is now placed alongside their Warrant. 

The Installation meeting of Bro Tam Pearce saw over 80 brethren from 11 countries in attendance, a number of whom will be at Swan of Avon’s Installation in 2020. 

W Bro Chris commented “It was a hugely moving event and a quite superb day for all of us.  International Freemasonry at it’s absolute best and of the highest quality."
